Brady
Brady has taught mathematics in East Harlem for over 20 years, all at Park East High School. She teaches 12th grade Statistics; her class has hosted visits from the U.S. Census Bureau's Associate Director and the Chief of Racial Statistics branch. Her small-group instruction model results in 100% passing the Algebra I Regents; it was profiled in The NY Times and Chalkbeat, plus funded to scale.
Brady is head of the math department and member of the equity team; she facilitates the professional learning committee and designs the school master schedule. Brady is a four-time Math for America (MƒA) Master Teacher, NYS Master Teacher, and a Master Teacher through NYC Teacher Career Pathways. She was recipient of the Sloan Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and The MƒA Muller Award for Professional Influence in Education.
Outside of school, Brady enjoys poetry. She was a member of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe National Slam Team; her work appeared in an international film festival, Off-Broadway play, and motion picture.
