The Parent Coordinator is an employee of the NYC Department of Education and works on-site at Park East High School. The Parent Coordinator is responsible for encouraging parents to get involve and stay active in their children's education and school community. To create a welcoming school environment for parents and students, the Parent Coordinator will identify parent and related school/community issues and work closely with the administrative team and the principal to see they are addressed in a timely manner.
In addition to the Principal and administrative team, the Parent Coordinator is an important point of contact for families of the school. The Parent Coordinator can help you with many questions and issues.
