Electronics Policy

"We See It/We Hear It/We Take It"

  • Students are not permitted to bring the following electronic items to school: 1) Cell phones; 2) laptops, tablets, iPads and other similar computing devices (“computing devices”); and 3) portable music, and entertainment systems (such as iPods, MP3 players, PSP and Nintendo DS).
  • Teacher confiscates electronics in class; it is given to the Dean and returned at the end of the day.  If a student refuses to give up their electronic, the Dean or Admin will come to collect electronic and will ONLY be given back to a parent and student will receive a detention.
  • Cell phones and portable music and entertainment systems may not be turned on or used during the administration of any quiz, test or examination.
  • Computing devices may not be turned on or used during the administration of any school quiz, test or examination, except where the school has explicitly authorized such use.
  • Cell phones, computing devices, and portable music and entertainment systems may not be used in locker rooms or bathrooms.

 According to NYCDOE Chancellor's Regulations, electronics are NOT allowed in the school building.
